  1. home networks are like family names. You can distinguish each computer with a first name but in order to be related (and see each other) they must have the same last name. So go to each computer and right click on MY COMPUTER then left click PROPERTIES and then click the COMPUTER NAME tab to see if each computer's WORKGROUP name is the same. if not you need to change each one of them by choosing a network name and make them all the same workgroup name, or in my example the same family last name. If you are  using Norton or McAfee firewall that will also block you from seeing all computers on your home network no matter if they are wireless or wired.

  2. Go to "My Network Places" and they'll be listed.

Note: if they aren't in the same workgroup or domain, they won't show up.  Also, some firewalls block discovery.

Check your router's DHCP Client list to see every device that's connected but you have to be the network administrator to know it's login info.  If you own the router, refer to the owner's manual.

  3. Right click the wireless icon in your taskbar.

  4. click the start button then network or network places

to see the computers connected, all the computers will need to be on the same workgroup (this can be set in computer, system properties, advanced system settings, then the computername tab, and click change. this is how you change the workgroup on vista at least.)
