How do i find the WEP key ?....?

i have an ipod touch and i want to use the internet on it.....but theres a password on the router and i dont noe the pass word........................how can i find it????.................please be very detailed =] thanks

Check the underside (or back) of the router there is often the WEP key there on a sticker. If not go to the box you got it with, it should be in there either on a little card or in a manual.

You need to log on to the router and find the password. Normally, you'll find it under Wireless -> Security. It's a key that can be up to 32 characters long.

Normally, you can access your router by opening a browser (on a computer that currently has access to that network) and typing the address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Then, the default login of most routers is:

User: admin

Password: admin

Ask the owner of the router.

If it is your router, and you have forgotten, you can reset the router to default settings and then re-enter a new key (all wirelessly connected computers will have to have the new key entered.)
