f(x) as x approaches 8

lim (x^2 - x + 72) / (x - 8)

now, i know i have to modify the problem bc 8-8 is 0 and the denom. can not be 0. unless it's modified then still = 0. I am having problems breaking the numerator into two binomials. i can't seem to get it right

  1. it seems that the numerator wrong the correct is  x^2 + x - 72 =(x-8)(x+9) or the slotution is: infinity

  2. (x^2-x+72)/(x-8)=(x-9)(x-8)/(x-8)=x-9

    f(x) approaches -1 as x approaches 8
