How do i find the percent of something

100 divided by your total amount and multiplied by your sample amount

eg if you want to work out what percentage of apples there are if there are 25 in total and you have 6 then you divide 25 by 100 and multiply it by 6

100/25=4

4*6= 24

therefore you have 24% of the total number of apples

If you're using a calculator, punch in the number you are multiplying by the percentage, then, enter the percent amount and press the percent button. If you are calculating manually, convert the percentage into a decimal by moving decimal twice to the left, then multiply the numbers.

Take the amount of something over the total amount!! And, divide if needed!
