  1. try the library

  2. Go to ebay and go under the BUY section. Type in the year of the card, the players name and card # and press search. It will give you a great idea on what your cards are selling for.

  3. Go to google type i the card{s} you want to find the price of and type in the cards # which is usually on the back of the card at the bottom.

  4. Beckett.com

  5. It still amazes me when people give answers that just dont help.

Beckett.com is a great website when researching catelog value. However, you must pay $2.99 to get a one month subscription. It does give a lot of information and can help you get a great idea of what your card/s are worth. Especially if you are looking for inserts are parallels. You can also pick up a Beckett magazine but you will not get as much info as their online price guide and it costs the same.

Also, try E-Bay. You can also find similar cards for sale and judge the value for yourself quite easily.

I will share with you that you must take in to account the condition of your card/s. Nowadays, selling your card/s also has a lot to do with the market you are in and that players current popularity. For example, you will obviously have a tougher time getting good money for a Matt Holiday card in Cleveland then in Colorado.

I have been buying and trading for many years. Nowadays, the easiest and cheapest way is check out E-Bay. I would also see if you could take a walk down to a local card shop or show. Many times they have current Beckett mags available and you just may find a buyer!

I use the online price guide. It is a great tool when looking up those "hard to find" cards and you will find every card made except ones that say "no pricing due to scarcity." For example, I have a 2006 Showcase 6 color autographed patch card of Roger Clemens numbered 1/1. I will not find a value this card. I will only be able to research what similar 1/1 Clemens cards have sold for.

Good luck in your search. Let me know if I can be of more help.

    Starred!
