  1. 1) distribute 3 to (z+4), distribute 2 to (z-3)

    3z+12+2z-6=26

    2) combine like terms

    5z+6=26

    3) subtract 6 to the right side

    5z = 20

    4) divide by 5

    z=4

  2. z=4.

    open the equation - 3z + 12 +2z -6 = 26

    therefore 5 z +6 = 26

    therefore 5z=20

    therefore z = 4

    AM

  3. 4

  4. 3(z+4)+2(z-3)=26

    3z+12+2z-6=26

    5z+6=26

    5z=20

    z=4

  5. 3(z+4)+2(z-3)=26

    multiply to get rid of parenthesis

    3z+12+2z-6=26

    combine like terms

    5z+6=26

    solve for z

    5z=20

    z=4
