  1. Hang in the air and do a double-pump layup. The defender may foul you but if he doesn't he will have real trouble blocking the shot. Hopefully you have a little hang time?

  2. try to draw the foul on them when you finish strong, it'll show that you are aggressive and not scared to go down low...

make sure you nail those free throws though, if you don't, then they won't be worried about ya...

  3. Don't fade away from contact go straight up. If you want a foul call, do what Reggie Miller or Kobe does, flail your arms and scream like you got hurt. Works everytime for me, I get about 12 freethrow attempts pergame.

  4. change your timing when you get close to the board alter your speed and or dribble dont be a machine be speratic!! change it up. wattch his feet  or mid section ( his numbers ) he aint goin nowhere without em! change your hieght when  comin up on him not always the same mix it up work on different sighns cause if hes any good he'll read em.

    keep em guessin

  5. What everyone else said is correct but they forgot one key component and that's concentrate on the shot.Don't really worry about the defender it should be u n the basket once u make up ur mind that ur going to score. I hope that helped as well as the other postings.

  6. A.) Work for the contact, not necessarily the shot. But obviously be going up for the shot, so you get your two foul shots.

b.) Instead of driving in for the lay-up, pull up quick for the jumper..

C.) If your driving, and people are crashing on you... dish it out..

D.) Post up, with a fake, then fade away jumper against backboard..
