i have seen many cars around these days with 3 6x9 speakers in the parcel shelf and was wondering how youl would wire in the third? using the sub speaker perhaps??? i know true purists would say it probably spoils the sound but im into my hiphop/rap and commercial dance so just making a lot of noise keeps me happy. any help/advice greatfully recieved.

  1. why would you want to ?

are you one of these daft boy racers whos music system makes more noise then a 1,000 cc motor bike without an exhaust ?

  2. First off people this does not require anything from the peanut gallery, so leave your comments at the door.

The correct answer for this is to bridge the 3rd 6X9. For example, useing a 4 channel amp, say channels 3 and 4 for the rear speakers, 3 going to the left and 4 to the right, the 3rd 6X9 you would bridge channels 3 and 4 together for the 1 speaker, they would not get brideged for the other 2 6X9's. Wires for left speaker out to speaker from channel 3, wires for right speaker out to speaker from channel 4, negative from channel 3 to 3rd 6X9 an channel 4 positive out to 3rd 6X9

  3. I don't think you will notice too big of a difference adding 1 more speaker.  Your money would be better spent on an amp to power the speakers and good speakers.  I have 2 alpine type r 6x9's in my rear running off a 60x4 amp they bang hard shake my mirrors, you can feel it in your chest with no distortion.  If you want to be heard and have serious bass go subs.  2 10's will rock your bass hard and you will be heard.

To answer how to wire them you would using the same wires as your right or left speaker it wouldn't sound like the center.

I put in alpine type s component in the front running off the same amp and they have wicked highs and make my sound quality very nice.  This website http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/autoi... will tell you what size speakers you have, as long as you get the same size its a very simple change(uncsrew one and s***w on the other, fits perfect.

Msg me if you have more questions.

    Good Luck

  4. 4 high quality speakers are plenty for any type of music.

the ones in my car are loud enough to make your ears bleed.

if you must do it then you have a few chooses.  non of which i recommend lol.

you can wire it to the left or right speaker.

get a  5 channel amp.  5 channel is suppose to be fore sub but it can be done.

or get an another amp and run 4 6x9's in the back 2 on each amp  and bridge on amp to power sub.

every option is stupid but can be done if you really want to.

a good setup for r+b rap +dance etc.  almost any type of music is this..

2 component speaker in the front.    whatever stock size you have for you back  6x9 (3way speakers) 1   4channel amp to run those 4 speakers

for subs (your preferred size) 1-4 10-12"subs powered by 1    1-2channel amp with enough clean power to run the subs (rms)

  5. Why would you want to is the best answer, 2 6x9s is plenty and after that if you would still need more noise you could just get a 12" sub and connect it to the sub out assuming your head unit has one.
