The local garage wont fit it as i got the exhaust from somewhere else so they cant garentee it. Therefore i will fit it myself. Its made especially for my car so do i just undo the clamp on my old one and replace it with the new or does it need sealing in some other way?.

  1. Remove the clamp from your old exhaust, then try and turn and twist the back box to break the seal due to heat and corrosion. You may have to open the pipe a bit with an old screwdriver to get it released.Fit the new one and clamp it up.Put some exhaust paste around the joint.Start the car and check it for leaks at the joint and reseal where neccessary.Hope this helps

  2. you probably need another pair of hands as when you undo the clamp it is not so easy to remove the back section and you cant easily pull it out ( you may do it depends on age and conition of front/ middle section ) then there are rubbers on the back section which are easy to remove but if in poor condition may need replacing . it's not that difficult though and probably save you a ton .
