How do i fix my burnt grass?

I put donw fertilzer and seed and weed , sould I have not mixed them? When I did that it terned my grass brown. I do not what to do.Sould I dig up the spot and put seed down? I am not shore. Meg

If the grass is burnt up(dead) Then the best thing to do is to remove the old grass and either reseed or install turf .I would remove the grass and breakup the dirt and then water heavy to help get rid of any fertilizer that might still be in the soil.After that then reseed or apply turf..

It probably is not a good idea to mix the lawn treatment products. Wait until this fall and re-seed. If you turn up the dirt in the yard you will raise weed seed that is laying dormant in the ground. So just seed your yard an water the lawn.
