How do i fix my driver sideview mirror?

Question

Okay, i was at work and someone hit my driver side view mirror and it comes completely off my 2000 Saturn SL1 nothing is broken its just that it is detached from the car how do i go about fixing it because i am holding it up with duct tape right now.

Look for 2-3 holes intended for screws to install the mirror.  I believe you have to check on the opposite side wall for damage or missing bolts/screws. You can figure it out easily by repositioning the mirror and at the same time spoting where the holes are suppose to be. Good luck.

For most vehicle "disassemble and assemble  the side mirror is pretty much the same regardless of brand and model.Before you start you need to take off the interior cover off  (Some model are using clip instead of screws so take note) Once the interior cover is out .you'll see the bracket s***w ..There rare  3 basic video on (How to assemble/dissemble and repairing  a side mirror) example to guide you and i hope this help you .

If they're manual adjustment mirrors then where the handle is the panel should come off and there will be screws there. If they're electric then there should be a blanking panel there and the same applies
