How do i fix my lamp shade?

Question

The top metal piece of my lamp shade came off the fabric part. I dont know know to put it together. Its a old lamp shade with lot of sentimental value.

Please suggest how to fix this.

Usually the fabric wraps around the metal.  Short of sewing it, set it upside-down, and then go around the perimeter, wrapping the fabric around the metal, and glue the fabric with light amounts of Elmer's glue.
