How do i fix the Ethernet port on my desktop (Dell xps 410)? Thanks.

After a lightning storm, my ethernet port simply stopped working and now i can't connect to the internet. when i put the cable in the port the lights don't flash and the computer doesn't recognize it? it this a problem i can fix or do i need to replace the port? And if so, is it expensive? Thank You very much

I think it should be replaced, there should be an hardware issue, something in your Ethernet card should have been shorted, take it to your hardware consultant and get it checked

You can buy an ethernet expansion card or a USB to Ethernet adaptor.
