Question:

How do i fix the radio in my 94 z71 Chevy pickup?

it is the stock radio

it always says o'clock

it is always on 98.7 or some were around there

some of the buttons work but only half way for exaple i can bring the balance screen up but can not change anything i can make it say scan but it does not change off of 98.7 the volume and a few others buttons do not work at all

of corse it is not making any wound at all

  1. The receiver/amp module is the problem. It's located above the gas pedal. You can probably pick one up at a junkyard pretty cheap.

    Keep in mind that there are three versions of the module. The standard system, the standard system that also has an equalizer located in the center of the dash with the tape player, and the Bose system. Make sure you get the right one.


  2. without being a car audio tech,it sounds like your stock stereo is shot.I'd recommend trying to find a junk yard that sells used parts.You could probably get one for really cheap or even a car dealer,if you don't want an aftermarket deck.
