How do i gain strength as well as gaining muscle mass?

i do slow reps to gain muscle usuallly 1 sec up and 3 seconds down but wanted to know how i can gain strength while still doing slow reps.

  1. don't worry so much about the time you take to perform a rep just do it controlled and the slower you go on both parts of the exercises the muscle fibers are recruited.

    you for sets of 4 and reps of between 8-12 . ensure on the last rep of each set that you go to positive failure ,

  3. more muscle mass = more strength

    doesnt take a genius to work it out, if you arent putting on muscle mass you arent gaining strength, the speed you lift the weights has nothing to do with it that is all good form.

    if you want to put on muscle use a high weight and low reps, if you can do more than 12 reps with a weight it isnt heavy enough to build muscle, many people believe doing lots of reps with a light weights builds strength however this is incorrect and makes absolutely no sense.
