Question:

How do i get 1080p on my hdtv?

i just bought a 1080p full hdtv the other day and verizon gave us an hdmi wire and the other regular hd colored wires. which one will give me 1080p resolution(right now i just have the hdmi cable in)

2) to get my xbox 360 full hd...how do i do that cause i only have the regular hd wires hooked in

  1. Ok first a question for you, does your TV have more then 1 HDMI input, if so then we will proceed to answer both of your questions and if not I will put those answers up as well....lol

    1. Keep your HDMI wire plugged in, do not use the component cables (the 5 multicolored cables) since the HDMI is the better of the two. Also keep in mind that as of right now only one cable channel can broadcast in full 1080p and that is the discover channel. All other HD channels are 720p or 1080i.

    2. If you have a second HDMI port on your TV then all you'll have to do is purchase a new HDMI cable and run it from your Xbox to the TV. Again keep in mind that some games do not actually show in full 1080p, you can check the back of the game box to see what the resolution is. Now if you don't have a second HDMI input on your TV you can still hook up your Xbox via HDMI cable using an HDMI switch. It's a small box that you can get at Best Buy/Circuit City/Radio Shack and it allows you to have more then one HDMI cable running into your TV.
