We are getting two new ipods but only have one computer. My boyfriend doesn't want any of my music clogging up his new ipod. Is there a way we can have different music on our ipods using the same computer. Also if there is mutual music we both like, can we share those files?

  1. no probs just put all your music onto  itunes,  down the left hand side of the music are small boxes for each song, just check the ones you want on yours, then all you  bf has to do is uncheck any songs he doesn't want on his before he plugs his into itunes, it will only sync songs that are checked

  2. you can try the tools like ipod to ipod, which is for managing multiple ipods,  to transfer songs/videos among them. Detail you can have a look of below review site, which introduces this kind tool and provides free trial. hope it useful.

  3. I'd suggest having your own user names (on the computer, that is)

That way, all your files are separate (aswell as your iTunes) and your boyfriend won't get any of your music uploading onto his iPod.

Also, if you want to share music, right click the folder containing those music files -> Properties -> Sharing tab -> Share...

    And go from there.

Alternatively, plug in your iPod, and with iTunes open, under Devices click on your iPod then tick the Manual Manage Songs box. This way you can just transfer the songs yourself, or delete them as you please.
