How do i get IM to come up so i can IM other user?

I downloaded IM and it comes up on my screen but it doesnt let me IM any one and it wont show me a IM screen except the sigh in screen

when i type it on my screen it show up but not on others

uninstall and try re-installing.

You have to know the screen name that you're trying to IM. Click on the +- button under the buddy list window that says "setup". Click "buddy list setup", then "Add Buddy". Enter the screen name there (it'll show up directly on your buddy screen), and hit enter. Now click the button at the bottom that says "return to buddy list".

Your buddy's screen name will show up on your buddy list. Double click the screen name you want to IM, and the window will pop up. IM as normal. :-)
