How do i get SC/ST student concession from the Indian Railways?

Hey friends i am an engg. student belonging to the SC community. Since i stay in another state away frm my home i hav to travel frequently to my home. I wanted to ask whether such SC/ST STUDENT concession even exists or not? If it exists how can i get it? Please any1 help me out since it reduces the fare by 75%.

wow 50% concession.. I wish i had that certificate.. what does it take to get an SC/ST certificate.. is there an exam for this? does such a concession exist in France too?

Before buying the ticket, u must show an evidence proving that u're SC or ST ! Then, u got contact d Station Master of your city's railway station ! He would issue you a letter , which would be valid for every time , u come to buy a ticket ! U hav to show the letter, and concession would b made available to u !

Yes, there r some concessions, but, it isn't 75% .. It's less than 50%, my friend !

student concession can be obtained from rlys with certificate from college.any student can get it
