How do i get Surf in pokemon blue for gameboy pocket??

i was really bored and i found my old gameboy and decided to start up a new game. I am already at the Safari Zone and i think i should have surf already. I have badges 1-4 and 6. Im missing 5 but idk why i didnt go there. please help!

get to the secret house at the end of the safari zone and you'll get it as a gift

You get surf at the end of the safari zone. To get your 5th Gym badge you have to beat Koga whose gym is just south of the Safari Zone. Best map i could find is in my link =( its the same safari zone as it is in Blue version. The house that has surf is beside "K"
