  1. where are u from?if europe try ryanair.com or skyeurope

  2. two words....stand by.....

  3. Hi,

To search flights within Europe this website is very good: http://www.routehunter.com

    Try also:

    Lastminute.com

    Kelkoo.com

    Travelocity.com

If you find a flight in city nearby your destination you can catch a Train. Trains are very nice and you can enjoy beautiful view. For best deals book early: http://www.trenitalia.it

    Good luck and enjoy Italy!

  4. It'a all about research. Start off with the likes of expedia, orbitz, travelocity. Then try some of the comparison search engines: http://www.bookingbuddy.com , http://www.kayak.com or this site for special deals: http://www.cheapflights.com

it's important to watch out for sales for particular airlines, as they are trying to move through inventory. Monitor the main airlines - to include alitalia, the flag carrier of Italy.

One of my favorites - I booked three times in the past year through them is the less known http://www.flycheapabroad.com - there is a chance they beat the major sites, most of the time. If you can ignore the rather non-attractive interface, the price is right.

  5. You can find cheap flights to Frankfurt or London.  Then take a no-frills airline from either to Roma.

    Check out Ryanair.com and virginexpress.com.

  6. Where are you coming from?

I have found that flights going into London are generally much cheaper than flights into Europe. If you can get a cheap flight to London, you can find a cheap flight on a budget European airline like RyanAir or EasyJet. It might take a little longer but can result in big savings.

My fiance and I went to Italy earlier this month, and saved about $400 a piece by flying to London and then to Italy. Of course, the trip took about 22 hours from the West Coast USA, but I think it was worth it for the savings!

    buon viaggio!

  7. Try calling Destination Europe - they were the cheapest I could find.  1-800-FLY-EUROPE
