  1. when extracting the cork always hold the bottle at 45 degrees to the ground. This ensures the cork comes out at a reasonable speed and the champagne does not fizz over out of the bottle.

    Re ceiling try pollyfilla.

  2. Hold bottle at 45 degree, keep cork still, and turn the bottle. Also don't shake it!

For the ceiling i recommend making it into a pattern with more dints... maybe you're name

  3. Since you already have the answer to your damaged ceiling, I will tell you how to get the cork out. Should it happen that some cork drops into your wine or champagne bottle, you tale a string and make a loop, then lower the string and piddle till you get it around the cork, then pull on it and if the loop is made correctly of course, it will close around the cork and tighten as you pull it up. It works, I worked in a French restaurant for a while and had it happen to me a few times in the beginning and they taught me how to extract the cork. The patrons were quite impressed actually and tipped well.

  4. Poly filla for the ceiling and a corkscrew for the Champagne although thinking about it they are usually wired into Champagne bottles, twist the wire and easy the cork out of the bottle slowly.  I presume that is how you got the dent in the ceiling.  Hope you enjoyed the Champagne.

  5. get a cork s***w and twist out.

  6. Ooops try Poly- filla

  7. Shake the bottle a lot and the cork will come out on its own. Wear safety goggles.

For the dent, I recommend FixAll.

  8. yah what he said and also next time work with champagne use a towel to open that will help and wont do that to your ceiling

  9. I seen this on Top Chef. It is real cool. You take off the wire and wrap. Then using a sword (yes, or saber) to knock it out.

Turn the seem-line of the bottle up and slid very fast the back (non sharp) part of the blade from near the bottom of the bottle to the top. You will hit the top nozzle part of the bottle and it will come flying off cork and all. A clean cut with no glass pieces. It is cool.
