  1. First your fiance has to file for a K1 visa for you. He has to submit the proper forms, fees and proof of income to be able to support you. You will have to be interviewed at the US consulate in your country, along with get a medical. It took me 1 year to get my visa, and including travel costs to the US consulate, cost about $1500 for everything.

  2. As a first step, your American fiance will need to submit the form I-129F with the USCIS. The filing fee is $455 USD.

When it's approved (several months later, up to 5-8 months), the petition will be forwarded to the USA embassy in your home country. They will schedule a visa interview for you.

Cost of the visa itself is only $131. Cost of the Medical examination is approximately $100-200 USD. If you require some vaccinations, there could be additional fee.

Overall, it could take from 6 month to a year to get a Fiancee visa to USA.

  3. File I-129f,G-325, and proof of meeting together in past two years. It costs $455 to file the I-129f. It'll take about 6 - 9 months depending on where you live.

  4. It took me over a year, but I wasn't calling all the time.  I should have been more proactive.  I'm sure a person could get it in less time.  My wife came to visit me to get the physical meeting within the last two years thing out of the way.  Then I submitted the application.  Seems like it was a total of about 500 dollars.  She just got her green card renewed and it cost about another 500 dollars.
