  1. South Somerset has a 'No Street Trading' policy however, mobile catering services can operate within the following guidelines:

Mobile catering services do not require a licence if the pitch is on private land and at least 15 metres away from a public highway.

Traders will need to register with the Council's Food Safety Team.  For information on registering a food business please use the link on the right hand side of the page.

The Council currently have no plans to issue any street trading licenses.

  2. Should think you would apply for this to your Local Councils in question?

  3. You will need to apply to Somerset County Council.

  4. The 1st answer is correct you do have do go to your local council office to apply just go in and ask you will find they will be very helpful and can put you in the right direction good luck you havent stated what you will be selling food ,drink ,clothes etc but the council is your best bet .

  5. It sounds to me like you just need a vendors license.  Usually to be found @ your local Govt. center.
