How do i get a refund on an airline ticket I need to cancel?

"Nonrefundable" means that can't get you money back if you voluntarily cancel your trip.

However- if you gave them a sob story and ask for a supervisor when you caqlled they might be willing to give you a voucher to use on a future flight.  GOOD LUCK!!

Well that can be a problem because non-refundable means non-refundable.

Here a few things that can get you out of them though..

1. death to immeditate family, or serious injury to yourself.

2. Significant delay of your flight ( ussualy over 3 hours)

3. Hurricane or major weather problems looming in your area or destination.

Thats about it. If you dont see any of those things helping you, you will not get a refund. The airlines are like the DMV. They really dont care one bit about you, and they have lousy customer service.
