Yup, go to the post office or http://travel.state.gov/passport/passpor...  You will need a birth certificate and an ID.  This is supposing you are a US citizen....

Oh, and keep in mind that the passport agency is swamped now.  I sent for mine by mail and it took ten weeks.  You can get it faster but you have to pay $60 more. Hope this helps!

Like everyone said you can go to the post office and get a application,  bring your drivers license and 2 passport pictures it cost approximately 70 to 100 for regular delivery. approximate 10 weeks due to changes in high volume

if u plan to travel within two weeks you can bring a copy of your itinerary and ask for it to be expressed delivered (which cost extra and takes about 3 days) i think the cost is about 160

another option is to go to an actual passport agency (there are 13 in the united states (http://travel.state.gov/passport/about/a... and it takes about 30 to an hour to if you dont go to a busy place. (like boston) You also get it same day
