If he's the father, and you are a legal citizen, he can come across legally.   As soon as you give birth, there is no way they can send either of you back, since your child is a U.S. citizen.

If he's going to be a good father get a green card. They can keep him from coming in but they realize he will be a good father they should cut him a break I would.

He must come legally. The poster who claimed that once someone is across the border,they can't be touched couldn't be more wrong. While a U.S. born child can't be deported,the parents if illegal most certainly will be if caught here. In addition to that,they will be banned.

Fathering a child by an American citizen does not make it legal for him to cross the border.

He needs to go through the regular channels like everyone else.

if you're engaged, you can file what they call a k3(fiance) visa for him...still takes about 6 months to get here but worth the wait unless you want to risk him sent back again.  another option is to go to his country and marry him-so as to get a k1 visa.

You need to marry the guy and apply for a K3 visa. If you have proof you have met the guy (photographs), you can apply for a K1 fiance visa, but you must marry within 90 days within him entering the USA. .
