How do i get at a gas leak when it is above the gas tank?

I have a gas leak on a 1991 dodge caravan. I think it is the fuel pump sending hose. but it is above the gas tank. It is a 6cyl 3.0 L engine.

I had a problem similar to that I thought I had a gas leak but it was a hole in the fuel line the gas was not actually coming out but it was sending out strong fumes

Lower the tank. If you've more than just a little rust, I'd fix it with the tank in place. If there isn't a 'trap door' to access the fuel pump, cut one ( chissel ) & seal it when you're done.

Well, it seems like youre gonna have to drop the tank and see where its coming from..

I wouldnt let that happen for too long.. because of all the gas prices and that could start a bad accident.. ive seen what an exploding gas tank does to people when they get in a wreck, its not a pretty sight at all.. my advice is get it fixed RIGHT away.. like.. NOW!
