Both of us have insurance already. I have insurance through my moms work (they are shutting down so I can't add the baby) my fiance has insurance but they don't do family plans. I dont want to switch license yet because I am afraid I will be dropped from my moms insurance and we will be stuck with big hospital bills. How do i get insurance for just the baby so that when the baby needs to get shots and stuff we won't have outstanding bills. My license is in Illinois, his is in Wisconsin, so I have no clue on what to do

  1. go throu welfare they provide you with great coverage for infants an toddlers!!! I have it for my twin sons bc my boyfriends work dont provide family insurance unless married an i do not work im a stay at home i used welfare insurance ( UPMC for you ) thats what i signed up for i had to i dont like using welfare but its the only option i had an i never had co pays an all my babies shots an doc visits are covered you get dental medical all that coverage... an once the child is a certain age they put him/her on chip program which is insurance for families who cant get it for thier child!

  2. Your mom needs to call the insurance company and find out.
