How do i get backstage passes at a concert?

I want to know how I could get back stage tickets to a concert to meet the band. But I dont know where to get these tickets.

You can try to become a member of the fan club of the band you want to see.  Write letters to the fan club and ask for them.  Call the radio station and bug the snot out of them.  Call other media outlets and tell them why you want to get backstage passes.  Show up WAY early for the concert and stay way late (sometimes leaving early so you can catch them leaving -sometimes bands stick around sometimes they leave very quickly)

I've been backstage many times and it's really not all that great.  The bigger the band the less time you get.  More of a waiting in line with several other people, get your stuff signed, say hello, say good-bye and that's it.  If I said it lasted 5 minutes I'd be greatly exaggerating.

For smaller bands, sometimes you get invited to their after party at the hotel.

Backstage passes are typically reserved for:

1. members of the local media

2. friends and family of the band

3. attractive girls that the band's roadies select and hand them out too.

4. local celebrities and/or friends of the venue

Sometimes the local media will give some away in radio promotions and the like, but most of the time these are not just for sale to the general public.  For better or for worse, they don't want just anyone backstage.

It's possible that sometimes these might show up for sale on Ebay or Craigslist, but try and make sure it's not a scam or a copy as you'll just waste your money.
