  1. lol with that big of cubic inch motor, I don't foresee any major MPG increase.

  2. Make certain that your tire are at the recommended pressure.

Slow down and look for traffic ahead that is slowing down.

Use the brakes as little as possible - coast whenever possible.

When parking in a lot, pull forward so you don't need to back out of the parking space.

Stop wasting money on gimmicks that promise you fuel savings.

Combine trips and plot out the route so that you make mostly (or only) right-hand turns.

  3. do a tune up and change and check air pressure in the tires and drive slower

  4. Ok, first off, lets take a good look at reality. You drive a 10 Cylinder 3/4 ton truck built to have hauling and towing power, and it uses gasoline to try to do what the diesel engine option did with ease, you are crazy if you are expecting any "good" fuel economy or any drastic improvement on what you are getting now.

That chip you got, its useless (my personal opinion)

    The flowmaster exhaust.....who cares

The cover...Equally as useless, the truck is designed for the bed to form a pocket of air that allows the stream flowing over the cab to smoothly glide over it. By adding a cover, you remove the ability for that pocket to properly form and now you have a harsh area where the bottom of the cab window meets that cover. If you did anything at all, you may well have hurt your fuel economy, although its nothing you'll notice either way. The front of a vehicle is not all that has to be considered when determining aerodynamics, the area on the back that the air has to flow off of, is equally as important, and you have changed what the engineers designed and by doing so, you have become the engineer. This is why I have never and will never put a cover on any pick-up I own, nor will I drive with the tailgate down.

Aside from all this, keeping up on scheduled maintenance and having your tune-ups done as needed is the best way to keep fuel economy at its best for your vehicle.

  5. K&N air filter.

    keep proper tune up

    fuel filter.

    pcv valve

    proper tire air pressure.

    service transmission regularly

    service coolant.

    regular oil changes.

  6. SIR;   Where did you find a ford  V10?   GIVE MORE DETAILS. If you're not towing with this truck, get a complete tune and consider changing the ratio of the rear axle. Keep your tires properly inflated.

                                   "BRILLIANT"!!!!

  7. Trade in your Ford............
