How do i get candle-wax off of carpet?

so my brother knocked a candle over on the carpet and all over the tv. i was just wondering if there was anyway of getting it out?

its a maroon colored candle.. and our carpet is tanish.

What the last guy said is a good idea, but try and soften it up a little bit with some Resolve first.  It seems to me like scraping a carpet with a dry razor would sort of rip it up.  Or another suggestion that I have seen is quickly go over the wax with a heated iron and then try and scrub it up.

Best results I have seen came by shaving the wax off with a bic disposable razor then a good vacuuming.

Get a clean white cloth and an iron. Set the cloth on the stain and then iron it, it will melt the wax and it will absorb into the cloth. Repeat as necessary.

Pull up as much as you can with a knife.

Grab your iron, and some paper towels, Place the paper towels over the rest of the wax and place the warmed iron on top. Keep changing the paper towel and ironing the wax up till it is gone enough for you.
