How do i get clips from a sony camcorder mini dvd to computer?

i have a new sony hand recorder.. and i need to get some clips off of it onto microsoft movie maker... i have some clips onto the computer but i cant get them onto movie maker because it says i dont have the codec... and divx wont work...

If you have a drawer loading DVD drive on your computer, put the miniDVD in the drive and  rip the video using HandBrake.
