How do i get dvds on my itunes?

i'm trying to get movies on my itunes so i can put it on my ipod.....i put the dvd in and nothing is popping up or showing up in my itunes? am i doing something wrong?

iTunes accepts MPG, MP4, MOV formats , so you need to make sure the DVDs you have are compatible with these formats.

Maybe you can use wondershare dvd to iPod converter to help you, it can convert almost all formats video to the format you need, and with powerful editing function (merge, crop, trim and so on ).

A Great free solution is an app called handbrake. It is easy! all you do is stick a DVD into your computer and choose the quality that best suits the purpose in the quick choices menu. Click start and when its done, just open it in iTunes

iTunes only support MP4, H264 video formats. There are some useful guides about how to rip DVD to iTunes and convert videos and TV shows to iTunes for iPod, iPhone, etc, it works well for all the Windows and Mac OS users.
