  1. You have to talk to your parents first. Then do some research as to what laws are in your state. www.hslda.org can help with that and then you would want to pick a curriculum. Good luck :)

  2. No you don't have to go to your counsellor. You need to discuss this with your parents and then check your State's details on the hslda website - that'll tell your parents what they need to do to de-register you from school (usually something as simple as write a letter or fill in a form).

Don't let anyone (incl. staff members at your school) tell you or your parents that you can't homeschool; that's a bluff and one too many schools in the US are fond of bunging on!

After your parents have de-registered you, you're a homeschooler and are then free to either follow a curriculum from one of the many homeschooling companies/cyber schools (like PennFoster, k12, Abeka etc)...or put together your own curriculum.

  3. You could always go to Pennfoster.com and enroll there...also you can transfer credits......its a really good and easy program.....im in there now and really close to done.

  4. Depends on your state. The deal is that your parents have to be in charge of this, there really is no enrollment, per se. After withdrawing from public school (following all laws and statutes of course) you could choose to enroll in a charter school or online coursework.

Someone suggested www.hslda.org, look there first to see what the laws are for your state.
