Question:

How do i get faster at 100 and 200 metre dash?

i am 13 and I run about 12.84 seconds on the 100 metre and 32 seconds on the 200 but i am still about 2nd or 3rd in it (only by a couple of mls. tho)could you give me tips on like starting off the race and finishing it off

  1. im 15 and my 100m dash is a 14...not so good. but my 200m dash is a 28.3. so i can pretty much keep my pace.

    what i do in track to do better on my sprints is to practice double what you would be in a race.

    (if you're doing a 100m dash...practice doing 200s as fast as u can)

    there are also core drills that will improve the reaction of the brain to the legs and feet, making u go faster.

    get in the push up position.

    and one foot at a time bring your leg up like you're trying to make it touch your chest.

    keep doing this as fast as you can.

    first for 15 seconds.

    second for 30 seconds

    third for a minute.

    it has helped me a lot.

Well i my times in 8th grade were 11.8 and 26.0 just to inform you.  Well all it takes is practice, i cant really explain but put into a video.  Recently i just made a video for plyometrics and speed and agility.  Plyometrics will make you EXPLODE off the blocks.  Here are my vids so you can see
