How do i get faster running?

  2. If you are looking at sprinting you need to work on mechanics and power.  This will get you faster quicker.

    Mechanics mean that you need to have your ankle at a 90 degree angle (dorsiflexion) so that you strike the ground with the ball of the foot, heel a credit card distance from the ground.  This will allow you to push yourself forward using your glutes and hamstrings.   You should keep your arms at a 90 degree angle.  Keep your stomach muscles engaged while you run.  You do not want your upper body to rotate. Keep your hands relaxed.

    Now you need to work on power and strength.  Look at doing cleans and snatches as well as squats in the weight room.  Do ab work including obliques.

    If you are a sprinter, don't run long distance.  This just trains your slow twitch muscles.  In fact, you can actually convert fast twitch muscles into slow twitch, but you cannot change slow into fast.  If you are a 100m runner, you should be running sprints.  I can't see a reason why you would practice anything over 200m.  If you are a 400m runner, nothing over 600.  Change up your practices depending on whether you are in season, preseason, offseason, etc.  This will prevent overtraining.
