How do i get from Florence to Pontedera without driving?

i'm going to be staying in florence and i want to go to Pontedera (from what i can tell that's the name of the city/region), but i'm not going to have a car. Does anyone know how i can get there fairly quickly without one? I have a limited amount of time so the quicker the better.

Yes, Mirna is right about the price and time. It takes about 50 minutes. The station name of Pontedera is Pontedera Casciana Terme. Pontedera is where I come from :-) I study in NY now. Have fun !!!
