  1. Precisely where in Clamart do you need to go?

Clamart is NOT a neighborhood in Paris nor is it anywhere near the center of Paris. Its is a distant suburb best known for a hosptial in which PLO chairman Arafat was treated when he was ill.

There is a commuter train that goes from the Gare Montparnasse in the south of Paris to Clamart.

You can get to the Gare Montparnasse from CDG by taking the RER B (Light rail) line to the Chatelet-Les Halles stop and then transferring to the  Metro Line 4 marked Direction : Porte d'Orleans (General Leclerc) to the Montparnasse-Bienvenue stop.

Various buses also go to Clamart which may be the better choice depending on exactly where you are going in Clamart.

  2. Super best way is to take RER B line.  Go all the way to Bourg la Reine, and you can catch several buses to get to Clamart, like line 390.

  3. Will you be driving there yourself? Go to www.getmethere.co.uk  You will get a pretty good detailed route from this site!

  4. In France, there is no empty space between communes (towns). So Clamart, like all other Paris suburbs, is directly adjacent to its neighbours including Le Plessis-Robinson, Châtillon, Issy-les-Moulineaux and Meudon. The reason I mention this is that the best way to get to Clamart will depend on exactly where in Clamart you are going. You can get public transport to any of the neighbouring communes I mentioned (see RATP interactive map for details) and then get a bus or taxi, but it really does heavily depend on the exact address you're going to which will be most convenient.

Feel free to email me if you want help finding the best route based on a particular address.
