I will be staying at the Hilton in the Financial district. Does anyone know if there are any shuttles? I'm a bit confused by the websites. I would appreciate any help.

  1. Yes, you can shuttle or bus to the BART. I've done it many times. Cabs always work too. Ask the hotels concierge to set you up.

  2. There are shuttles that will take you. The Oakland airport is on an isthmus, so they have plenty of ground transportation available.

  3. BART is probably your best bet if you don't know the area, but I guess that depends on the time of day you are getting in. But if you are driving then here are Yahoo's directions:

    880 North to 80 West

Take the FREMONT ST exit toward FREMONT ST - go 0.6 mi

Turn Left on FREMONT ST - go 0.3 mi

    Continue on FRONT ST

Turn Left on PINE ST - go 0.3 mi

Turn Right on KEARNY ST - go 0.2 mi

Arrive at 750 KEARNY ST, SAN FRANCISCO, on the Right

Not too hard as long as the roads are open!  I was in Boston a month ago and got in at 4 a.m. cuz of delays.  Then they had detours but luckily I didn't get lost or have any traffic to deal with.  Good luck, have fun and maybe I'll see you in the city!

  4. When you land at the airport, look for the AirBART shuttle.  It will take you to the Oakland BART station.  From there, you can take the train straight to SF.

  5. There is a BART train right there at or near the airport in Oakland. That should take you to the financial district in San Francisco. From there you should be able to catch a cab, walk or call the hotel for a shuttle van to come pick you up.
