How do i get green washing up liquid out of a cream carpet?

my daughter has spilt green washing up liquid on my cream carpet and i have tryed washing it out but it has stained, can anybody help x

  1. Try using a steam cleaner.  You can buy a handheld one or rent one from most grocery stores.  I've used them on old stains and it always gets it up.


  2. If you have some Shout or some sort of laundry stain fighter, spay the stain.  Let it set for a bit then go back with a scrub brush and water and scrub the stain well, then put a towel over the spot and stand on it to pull out the water and soap.  Repeat as necessary.

    I also like to use Fantastik Oxy Power - I get it at Home Depot.

  3. Is the carpet an area rug?  If so, throw it in the washer....if not, wipe as much of the soap up and rent a steam cleaner to clean the area.
