How do i get into Cerulean Cave in Pokemon Leaf Green?

I beat the elite 4 but it won't let me into the cave. What do i do to be able to enter the cave?

you've got to finish the game mode (the sevii islands) and then he will disappear and you can go and catch mewtwo now but beware he is really strong so make sure that you have at least on pokemon thats lvl 70 or up and bring a whole bunch of ultra and timer balls (you can use your master ball)

u have to go and find the ruby and saphire stones on the sevii islands u need rainbow pass to get there

The other people are right, but a little unclear.

1. Beat the Elite 4 with at least 60 Pokemon registered as caught in the Pokedex. Professor Oak will give you the National Dex.

2. Go to One Island and talk to Celio at the network machine. He will ask you to get the Ruby.

3. Go to the mountain that has Moltres on One Island and battle the two Rocket Members that are standing in front of a hole.

4. Go down the path and get the Ruby, bring it to Celio, and he will ask you to get the Diamond.

5. Go to Four Island and fight Team Rocket off in the icy cave.

6. Go to the Dotted Hole on Six Island and use Cut on the door. Follow the braille instructions (2 letters is up, 5 letters is right, guess on the other two. 4 is either down or left.)

7. When you try to grab the Sapphire, a scientist will take it and leave.

8. Go to Five Island and go to the Rocket's Warehouse. You should have both passwords now. (You get them on the way, I just haven't given where in here. One is as you battle the Rocket members on the mountain, the scientist gives you the other.)

9. Fight your way through the Warehouse, and after you beat the leader, go to the back room and fight the scientist. He'll give you the Sapphire.

10. Bring the Sapphire to Celio. Cerulean Cave is now open and you're able to trade with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald versions.
