How do i get into a mac book without the password?

Question

I just found my mac book after a long time and forgot the password is there anyway i can get into it, hack it or anything?

i mean it sucks cuase i paid alot .... help!!

If you went to an Apple store, they could possibly help you - however, I'm not sure 100%.

You would probably have to reboot it, I'm not sure of the procedure for a macbook but as for a normal windows pc you'd reboot the computer which esentially deletes everything and restarts the whole system afresh.

Hi thanks for your question. The others answered well, and they didn't reveal the secret of the install disc. But first, try to log in three times. On the third time, you should receive a password hint if you were lucky enough to fill in the text field in System Preferences-->Accounts-->User Name.  Then enter the appropriate password or passphrase and you're back in! You've regained control of the system.

this happened to me once, there is a way to override the password but you need the setup disc, if you look it up in google it tells you exactly what to do once the disc is in.
