How do i get into singing more seriously?

i luv 2 sing but want to start getting more serious like comeptitions if anyone nos anything answer

If you really want to take it seriously, vocal lessons are necessary. Get a teacher when you first begin - 'coaches' are for those who already have a secure technique (coaches typically teach intepretation instead of technique). They teach you, at the very least, how to keep your vocal cords healthy so that you can sing for life instead of losing your voice permanently after a few years.

Many aspiring singers want to go for competitions, but they don't realise that unless they've had some sort of proper training before that, they don't stand much of a chance against trained singers. Even professional pop singers would have worked with a coach at some point in their development.
