  1. to be a social worker you have to go college and get a degree and you dont want to go to school so not an option.  if you want to get experience in helping people you can volunteer (in australia anyway) at places like lifeline and the salvation army to go on the crisis helpline they train you so you can talk to ppl who are in trouble or want help with stuff.

Or you can go to an employment agency and to get your certificate in patient care or nursing assistant it is only a six week course and you can help look after people.

also you can ring up department for community services or similar and ask about the program that they have for working with children, where you pick up children and take them for there access visitis.

the other thing is to go and see a career counsellor you may need to bite the bullet and go and do a vocational course.

    hope that helps.

  2. go and meet Social Work Community People in your living TOWN, they will give work immediately.

  3. As someone else said, you have to have a degree to be a social worker, so unless you are willing to go back to school and get that degree...

Some organizations recruit and train volunteers for activities where they provide help and support to at-risk or in-need groups. You could look into becoming a volunteer for a local hospice, your local chapter of the red cross, a local domestic violence shelter, or a nonprofit that helps people who are unemployed or homeless, such as homeless shelters or career counseling centers. You could also look into volunteering with Samaritans (crisis hotline).

For these kinds of volunteering jobs, you can expect a time-intensive training and evaluation period. It will be a significant investment of time on your part just for the training and evaluation of your skills. Also, not every volunteer is accepted for these kinds of positions, even after going through the training. But if you are accepted into such a position, you can expect to realize your dream of helping people with problems.

  4. Go down to your local college counselor...this is the best way to help yourself and others...Social services requires degrees in all fields..Volunteer jobs are available but not for pay..the on the job stuff is long gone with the LAWSUIT generation....

Your education counselor will show  you the map of classes you need to take to find the field you are most gifted in...also there is lots of grant and scholarship money out there....

                                Good luck!!!!!

  5. Try volunteering in a field that interest you. I read for the blind. Or take a hobby and donate it as a service to others.

  6. Honey, all the programs you mention require higher education.  Some programs like certified nursing assistant are not very expensive and are relatively brief in length.  You can try a tech school also.  Perhaps you would like to become a medical assistant and work in a doctors office.  You need education though, please reconsider getting more training.

Social workers have extensive training and most jobs would require a masters degree.
