How do i get metal gear online to start up and work ??????????????

Question

When i go to the main menu in metal gear solid 4 and click on metal gear online it goes black and then goes back to the playstation menu. do you think the problem is the disc or the ps3. I've already restarted, reinstalled, and signed in and out and it still does the same thing. i can still get on the internet browser and download things but MGO wont work. i also tried going on madden 07 online and it said it couldn't connect to the server. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reconfigure your PS3 internet connection. Either that or something wrong with your disc ( happened to me before and it was the disc).
