  1. I feel the same way about piano. I keep practicing because I want to be able to show off (haha) what I've learned. It makes me feel accomplished because I've always wanted to be musically talented, just haven't gotten there yet. Yeah, I feel lazy too at times, but everytime I see someone playing, it gets me jealous because I wish I could be as good as them. I'm not sure if they have any screamo tabs tho..

Eh, if you really want to be motivated, just think of the look on people's faces when you blow them away..

I hope this helps.. & good luck!

  2. Honestly, find music you enjoy and play it, it doesnt even have to be played by a violin (look at what Boyce Avenue did with hip-hop songs). I wasnt motivated at all to learn guitar when all I was learning were useless riffs and modes and w/e, but then I found I really liked acoustic music and can't stop playing it. Its all a matter of taste, ull be more motivated to play the things you like.
