How do i get more friends?

i have a couple but i want more. im really shy and im scared to go up to someone and say "hey you wanna be my friend?" what do i do?

Don't just ask if you want to be their friend though, because it makes it akward. find someone you see as a potential friend. Say hi, get to know them, their birthday, what they like to do, interests, etc. Ask them if you can sit with them at lunch that stuff. Invite them to your weekend hangouts too! I'm sure if you are friendly, sweet, and have some humor, it will turn out ok. good luck hun!
