  1. I agree with the other answer that 22's on a Taurus would not look very good, but to each his own.  If you really want to do it you will need to get some sort of suspension lift for your car.  You will also have to do some major brake upgrades too to fit the bigger wheels, and even with a lift you may need to roll the fenders to make them fit.

If you add the price of 22 inch wheels, along with a big brake kit, a suspension kit (and labor assuming you cant do all of this yourself) you are looking at a very, very expensive project.

    My suggestion:

downgrade to some really nice looking 17" wheels, and get a suspension lowering kit to even out the gaps in your wheel wells. Your car will be lower to the ground and look better.

    Good Luck.

BTW, the other answer who related the Taurus to a cop car is a little off, it was/is the Crown Victoria that is the most popular Ford model for a police car.

  2. well, like the others said... 22's would look dumb in the first place.

BUT, nobody else mentioned, you need to see what the overall size of the TIRE is on those 18's and see if you can get a tire for a 22 inch rim with the same overall diameter.

If you can keep the overall diameter of the tire the same, you can put any dang size rim you want. Most cases it's the tire that is rubbing. not the rim.

  3. Is this a serious question?

    1) You have a Ford Taurus, it'd look hilarious/horrible/horrendous/riced out to the max/crazy, if you put anything bigger than 18's on it.

    2) You have to be kidding because you do know 22 inches are bigger than 18 inches, so if they are already rubbing with a smaller size, don't you think a 4 inch difference is going to make it worse?

    3) Give up, get a better car that's not supposed to be a cop car.
