Does anyone know how i would get my dance gcse remarked because i do not believe that i got the lowest grace in the class (a C) when i was expecting an A. and does anyone know roughly how much it would cost?

I would really like to get it remarked as it could affect my chance of getting a job that i want in a few years time. :(

  1. Speak to the exams officer at your school or college, they can arrange a remark. The cost will depend on how much of the GCSE you want remarked, you should get the breakdown of marks from you exams officer before you make that decision. For example if there were 3 modules and you had an A an A and a U, you would probably only want the last module remarked, in which case I would say around the £30 mark, depending on your exam board, but the school may agree to pay if you can convince them it is probably wrong, if the mark is changed then you will be refunded the re-mark fee. Hope this helps

  2. It's up to your subject teacher to do that so speak to him/her first. If you were predicted an A and got a C then that is cause for appeal but it depends a lot on your teacher. If he/she is inexperienced it could be that they predicted wrong in the first place. If this is the case then your best bet is to retake the exam in 6th form.

Oh and if the school decides to support you then it wont cost anything.

Don't worry, the second poster is right. Speak to your exams officer as there will be a record of your predicted grade. If it is very different to the one you got then there should be no problem appealing.
